Our roots
History
Mediery is built on more than half a century of trade. Over 50 years ago, Jash Shah’s grandfather established an intermediary commission agency on a simple principle: connect buyers with sellers, act as the trusted middleman, and solve real problems for real businesses. For three generations, the family has lived that model — operating out of Ethiopia and directing suppliers from the UK, India, China, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Taiwan to meet the needs of Ethiopian businesses.
Mediery is the modern continuation of that legacy. It takes a model proven over fifty years and applies modern technology and artificial intelligence to simplify the process and take the family’s outreach global. What was once done across borders by hand and by relationship is now powered by a platform — bringing the same trusted intermediation to businesses anywhere in the world, while helping partner businesses establish a digital presence and tap into an AI marketplace that customises their ERPs and connects AI agents directly into their workflows.
The founder
Jash Shah
Mediery was founded by Jash Shah, who didn’t study this business — he grew up in it. Drawing on a 55-year family trading heritage, he led the family’s first overseas expansion into Sharjah at the age of 22, and today builds and operates its UK and Dubai branches. He holds a degree in International Finance and Management Accounting and brings deep cross-border expertise across Africa, the Middle East, and the UK.
